Dear friends,

many of you showed an interest to help Study-at-CTU with newly arriving international degree students (IDS). Now you have a perfect opportunity to do so.

One week before the academic year starts there is an Orientation week – week full of information, get-around-activities, Prague discovery game and trips around the Czech Republic. It’s mainly organized by the International Student Club CTU in Prague (ISC).
As because there is more and more Exchange and Erasmus students (E&E) coming to CTU each year, we split the information meeting and also the “Buddy program” to two – one for E&E students (prepared by ISC) and one for IDS (prepared by our Study-at-CTU team).

Now here comes your chance. You can either help ISC with anything needed during the Orientation week (e.g. organize a trip around the Czech Rep., help prepare welcome packs etc.) -> contact ow@isc.cvut.cz (and/or later on help with other activities that ISC prepares for the international students during the whole year -> contact hr@isc.cvut.cz).
Or, since you are IDS yourself and you’ve been through the whole process of getting from the airport/train station to the campus, getting a public transport pass, finding the best place where to go for lunch… and you know well how hard the beginnings can be, you can help us by signing up to our new “student to student” program (ISC “Buddy program”).

All you have to do, is contact Eder eder.ortigoza@studyatctu.com, he will send you a list of newly arriving students that are seeking help, you choose one (depending on your language skills and your availability to be here when s/he arrives), we will connect you via email and then it is on you to start the communication. We will provide you with instructions and tips and tricks on how to best welcome your new schoolmate.

For you a nice way how to meet new friends, for us, and especially the new IDS, a huge relief.
