Pedagogical activities

The department provides courses of physics at bachelor, master and doctoral programmes. All students participate in a basic course which includes laboratory practice and is complemented by seminars for practicing the examples that are included in the written exam. This course is accredited in English and thus can be attended by Czech students, foreign exchange students and private payers. Equipment of the labs is continually modernized so that students have the opportunity to get acquainted with the most modern technical methods and procedures. The department provides a variety of elective courses that build on the basic course and expand its contents with practical use. The department offers interesting topics for doctoral studies, among whose graduates is a number of experts who found employment both in further research and in engineering practice. Students of doctoral programme are involved in research activities of the department and achieve excellent results.
