The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at CTU in Prague invites researchers, engineers, and students to the 2nd MechaTwing Summer School, taking place on September 14–18, 2026 in Prague.

This summer school is part of the European MechaTwing project and focuses on the cutting-edge topic of combined control of morphing and aeroelasticity of aircraft wings. The programme bridges fundamentals with state-of-the-art research and real-world applications—from aerodynamics and aeroelasticity to mechatronic design, modelling, simulation, control, and experimental validation.
Participants can look forward to:

• lectures by international experts from leading institutions (CTU, Politecnico di Torino, DLR, TU Wien, and others),
• interactive workshops and hands-on sessions,
• wind tunnel experiments and visits to unique testing facilities,
• strong links between research and industrial applications.

The school highlights the innovative concept of mechatronic stiffness, enabling the balance between flexible morphing structures and aeroelastic stability in a single system.
