Vacancies at the Department of Material Engineering

Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, CTU in accordance with Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions, as amended announce the job vacancy:
2 senior researchers for the Department of Material Engineering for Mobility in the scope of OP VVV call for the project „ Mobility CTU – STA “

Workplace: CTU in Prague, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Material Engineering
Work period: 3 months
Employment type: 1,0 FTE
Expected starting date for the position: 09/2021
Salary based on conditions of the call covering the expenses for stay abroad.
Responsibilities:
  • Research and development of functional surfaces and/or advanced materials;
  • Cooperation on research projects and publication of the research outcomes;
  • Minimum of one active participation at a workshop, seminar or conference organized at the workplace each 6 month;
  • Report on working activities after each month;
 
Requirements:
  • Candidate is a senior researcher (7 or more years after his/her Ph.D. graduation)
  • Candidate must be a researcher from abroad by a definition described as a researcher who in the past 3 years spent at least 2 years (at the date of application or at the date of start at work) working in a research field outside of CZE for a minimum of 50%-time employment, Czech citizens are not excluded;
  • H-index – minimum value of 8.5 converted according to the “Instructions for calculation of the standardised h-index” standardisation table – see Appendix.
  • Involvement in at least one international or state subsidy during the last 5 years in the position of head researcher or co-researcher.
  • Experience in musculoskeletal biomechanics, clinical biomechanics or cell mechanics.
  • Publication activities – at least 3 publications in impacted magazines during the last 5 years.
Mandatory documents:
  • Application;
  • Proffesional CV with a reference to publishing activities in English/Czech;
  • Copies of diplomas;
  • Documents proving activities outside of CZE for at least 2 years in the past 3 years or studying of Ph.D. (can be listed in the CV);
  • Calculation of the standardised h-Index signed by the research worker;
  • Brief description of the candidate proposed research work, justification of its necessity and benefits for the candidate and the FME CTU workplace;
  • Consent to the processing of personal data for the purpose of this tender.
