Post-doc researchers for the Department of Material Engineering

Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, CTU in accordance with Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions, as amended announce the job vacancy:
2 post-doc researchers for the Department of Material Engineering for Mobility in the
scope of OP VVV call for the project „International Mobility of Researchers“

Workplace: CTU in Prague, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of
Material Engineering
Work period: 18 months
Employment type: 1,0 FTE
Expected starting date for the position: 07/2020
Salary based on conditions of the call covering the expenses for stay abroad.

Responsibilities:
  • Research and development of functional surfaces;
  • Cooperation on research projects and publication of the research outcomes;
  • Researcher should have experience with plasma – based processes and/or composite materials;
  • Knowledge of surface analyseses methods is preferred;
  • Minimum of one active participation at a workshop, seminar or conference organized at the workplace each 6 month;
  • Minimum of two publication submitted to an impacted journal;
  • Report on working activities after each month.
Requirements:
  • Candidate is a post-doc researcher. The candidate has a Ph.D. degree or its equivalent based on 8ISCED (International Standard Classification of Education) classification;
  • Candidate must by a researcher from abroad by a definition described as a researcher who in the past 3 years spent at least 2 years (at the date of application) working in a research field outside of CZE for a minimum of 50%-time employment, or was a Ph.D. student or its equivalent;
  • Publication record – minimum of 2 publications in the past 3 years.
Mandatory documents:
  • Application;
  • Proffesional CV with a reference to publishing activities in English/Czech;
  • Copies of diplomas;
  • Documents proving activities outside of CZE for at least 2 years in the past 3 years or studying of Ph.D. (can be listed in the CV);
  • Brief description of the candidate proposed research work, justification of its necessity and benefits for the candidate and the FME CTU workplace;
  • Consent to the processing of personal data for the purpose of this tender.
