The Institute of Materials Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, CTU in Prague, recently welcomed a special group of visitors — high school students from Taipei participating in our Materials Engineer for a Day (Mat-Eng) programme. The event offered these young STEM enthusiasts a hands-on glimpse into research and academic life at one of Central Europe's leading technical universities.


The students were selected through a highly competitive national programme organised by Taiwan's Ministry of Education, representing top performers from both vocational and general high schools with a strong focus on STEM and technical engineering. Their curiosity, engagement, and technical aptitude made for an inspiring and truly memorable visit.

This marked the second visit to the Czech Republic by Taipei Municipal Muzha Vocational High School under this programme, though it was their first time visiting our institute. We hope this will be the beginning of a lasting collaboration and look forward to welcoming future groups to CTU Prague.
